Besan laddu
Another easy laddu recipe for the festivals.
1 cup besan (kadale hittu)
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup ghee and more
5 - 6 elaichi
Nuts - badam, cashew, pista, walnut. Cut into pieces
Rasins - few
Method
Dry roast all the nuts. Roast the rasins in ghee. Keep this aside. Powder the sugar along with the elaichi in a mixie. Roast the besan. It should give a nice aroma. Also it should turn into golden brown color. Add the ghee and roast it for about 5 minutes. Add the powdered sugar and the nuts. Mix it well. Take small portions and roll it into balls. You can add more ghee for binding if necessary.
1. It is very important to roast the besan properly. It gives out raw flavor soon. But you have to continue roasting till you get a aroma and the color changes.
