Fruit custard

This is a very simple dessert to prepare using custard powder. My mom used to make this often in childhood and I have fond memories of this.
I have used apple, banana, grapes, musk melon, pineapple and dry fruits to make this custard. One fruit which I didn't have was pomegranate, it adds a beautiful colour to the dish. Other fruits you can add are chikku, cherries, plum and strawberries. I have used vanilla flavoured custard powder, other flavors also can be used.
Ingredients
Milk - 1/2 litre
Custard powder - 3 tbsp (vanilla flavor)
Sugar - 5 tbsp
Mixed fruits - 1 bowl
Honey - 1 tbsp
Method
Take half cup of milk and add 3 tbsp of custard powder to it. Mix well without any lumps. Heat the remaining milk. When it comes to a boil, add the custard powder milk mix. Heat it in medium flame with constant stirring. Add sugar. Remove it from heat when the custard thickens. Your custard is ready. Allow it to cool before adding fruits.
Preparation of fruits.
1. The fruits should not be overripe and squishy.
2. Peel the fruits if necessary, remove the seeds.
3. Cut the fruits into bite sized pieces
4. Add honey to the fruofr and mix well.
5. If you are using dry fruits, chop them into small pieces and dry roast them. Only raisins, they can be roasted using ghee.
When the custard cools, add the mixed fruits. Serve chilled.
You can eat this with vanilla icecream or even with sweets like gulab jamun or jelly or carrot halwa
