Gobi Manchurian

Gobi Manchurian: One of the common street food supposed to be chinese. It is a good starter recipe. You may also like other starter recipe like
Pepper paneer
Baby corn chilli dry
Ingredients
Gobi - 1 medium about 200 gms (it is better to blanch the Gobi florets in hot water)
For frying the Gobi
All purpose flour (maida) - 3/4 cup
Corn flour - 3 - 4 tbsp
Ginger garlic paste - 2 tsp
Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
Soya sauce - 1/2 tsp
Salt - as required.
Oil - for frying
Other ingredients
Onions - 1 medium, cut vertically (you can use spring onion stem if you want)
Ginger garlic paste - 2 tsp
Capsicum - 1/2 cup chopped (medium sized pieces)
Green chilli - 1 tsp finely chopped
Pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
Soya sauce - 2 tsp
Green chilli sauce - 2 tsp
Tomato sauce - 2 tsp
Vinegar - 1 tsp
Salt - as required
Method
First blanch the Gobi in hot water.(Gobi will have eggs of small worms, so blanching is necessary)
Take a bowl and mix maida, corn flour, red chilli powder and ginger garlic paste. Add salt and water as required to make it into a thick paste like batter. Finely whisk it to remove the lumps.
Dip each floret in the batter and deep fry it in oil. The Gobi florets have to be properly fried. Remove them from oil and keep it in kitchen towel to drain the oil.
Making Gobi Manchurian
Take a large kadai with 2 tsp of oil. Add the ginger garlic paste and onions and fry them till golden brown. Now add the capsicum and stir fry it. Add the green chillies.Once capsicum is almost cooked turn the flame to high.
The rest of cooking should be done in high flame with continuous tossing.
Add pepper powder, tomato sauce, green chili sauce, pinch of salt and vinegar. Add the fried Gobi and toss well. Remove from heat.
Serve hot with tomato or green chilli sauce.
