Onion rice
I ate this rice when my husband's aunt made it. I loved the taste and so did my hubby. I learnt this recipe from her.

Ingredients
Onions - 2 finely chopped
Tamarind paste - 3 tbsp (thick)
Red chilli powder - 2 tsp
Rice - 2 cups (boiled)
Salt - for taste
For seasoning
Oil - 2 tbsp
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Fenugreek seeds - 1 tsp
Groundnut - few
Chana dal - 2 tsp
Method
First boil the rice and keep it for cooling. Take a kadai and roast the groundnut. Keep it aside. Take oil in the same kadai, add mustard seeds and chana dal. Allow the mustard to splutter. Add the chopped onions and saute it till it becomes translucent. Add the roasted groundnut and tamarind paste. Let this thicken. Now add red chilli powder and salt for taste. Heat it till the raw smell goes. Remove it from heat and add the boiled rice. Add chopped coriander leaves and serve hot.
