Lemon rice (chitranna)

Chitranna (lemon rice)
This is a very easy to make mixed rice. It can be had with roasted potatoes or fried happala. It doesn't get spoiled fast, so you can take it as picnic lunch as well. You may also like recipe like

Ingredients
Rice - 1 cup
Lemon - 2
Green chilli - 2 finely chopped
Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
Oil - 2 tbsp
Mustard seeds - 2 tsp
Peanut - 10 - 15
Chana dal - 2 tsp
Urad dal - 1 tsp
Coriander leaves - 1 tbsp finely chopped
Curry leaves - 1 tbsp finely chopped
Salt for taste
Method
Cook rice in a way that each grain is seperate. (You can add a drop of oil to rice before cooking for keeping the grains seperate). Spread it on a plate and allow it to cool.
In a large kadai, dry roast the groundnut. Once it is roasted, add oil and mustard seeds. Allow it to splutter. Add turmeric powder, green chillies, chana dal and urad dal and heat them till they become golden brown and the raw smell of turmeric goes. Remove it from heat. Cut the lemon and add the juice to the cooled mix. Add salt for taste and mix well. Add the cooked rice, coriander leaves and curry leaves and mix well.
Serve hot with happala or roasted potatoes.
I even like it with curds.
